Too Sad!! Boxer Dies After Knockout Punch From 17-Year Old Opponent!

Kuba Moczyk, a boxer, who suffered a head injury in his first fight has died in the hospital, BBC reports.

This was disclosed by his family, who said he died on Wednesday night, November 23, at the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston, where he had been in a coma on a life-support machine.

The 22-year-old was knocked out in the third round of Saturday’s fight at the Tower Complex in Great Yarmouth, England.

According to a local promoter, Leon Docwra, a minute’s silence will be held for Moczyk at a meet-and-greet event with Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in Gorleston on Thursday night.

“I’ve been on the phone to Tyson last night and this morning and he is just so shocked,” said Docwra.

Docwra, who trained Mr Moczyk three years ago, said he had a “heart of gold”.

He said:

“I’ve spoken to Kuba’s aunt and sister and they are absolutely devastated – they are a lovely, close family.

“He was never going to be a champion boxer – although he was very good – as he was so kind-hearted and did not have a vicious streak.

“To get into a ring was a big step and everyone was so proud of him.”

Docwra said he has now banned his own sons, aged 11 and 16, from boxing, following Moczyk’s death.
