Solange has a No. 1 album on her hands with A Seat at the Table, but it's also the album's song "Cranes in the Sky" that has made a significant impression on many, including Common who was "so inspired by this song that I wrote a verse."
The multi-hyphenate attacks his verse with an intense passion as he raps a verse about the state of the world today.  "She seen pain in my eye/Men and women at work/ Cranes in the sky/We gon keep building/ For our children's children." The over-minute long verse offers a contemplative introduction to the already heart-stringing words of Solange as Common offers a clear hint of hope in his additional lyrics.
"Every once and a few years, there are certain songs that come out and have the sound of forever. 'Cranes in the Sky' is that song for me," Common told Fader about his love of the track. "Every time I listened to it, I keep wanting to hear it again and again. I started mumbling some words to it and then decided I want to write a verse. This is an un official remix simply inspired by the love of art. Check it out."
Listen to Common's unofficial remix of Solange's "Cranes in the Sky" below and let's hope someone sends this Solange's way for a listen soon.
