The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has decried the
untold hardship and pains the current leadership of the All Progressives
Congress has subjected the nation.
The academic union said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s economic policies, which was borrowed the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, IMF and their collaborators had become unfriendly to the people of the nation.
Addressing newsmen in Abuja, the National President of ASUU, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi said the calls for the sale of national assets was a monumental fraud.

According to him, operators of the economy must be held responsible
by the Nigerian people, adding that, “we may be losing the war to rescue
our people from the ruling class extortionist agenda.”
He said that the economic policies of the Buhari government was
impacting negatively on all sectors of the economy and urged Nigerians
to organise themselves to reject the policies that had pauperized the
people and consolidated the gains of the ruling class.
